Moored just off the jetty and right next to The Newport and Bert’s Bar & Brasserie, The Salty Dog is only a quick tender ride away. You’ll be dropped at the houseboat, where it’s just you, the water, and everything you need for a mini-escape. When you’re ready for a long lunch or evening drinks, it’s just a short tender trip back across to Bert’s before returning to your private hideaway on the water.

Perfect for two, The Salty Dog is all about pared-back luxury. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered – from the softest bed linen and cosy throws, to a little selection of local goodies to nibble on, the homemade breakfast museli, and the beautiful ceramics for your morning coffee – everything is perfect. The compact kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the bathroom has plush towels and lovely natural toiletries, and the lighting is soft and warm, making it feel instantly like home. The windows frame the water from every angle, meaning you never lose sight of where you are – floating, relaxing, and completely switched off from the rest of the world.
