3. THE BREKKIE BANOFFEE PARFAIT by @topwithcinnamon
what you need:
1 large, ripe banana
1½ cups plain yogurt (you can use half Greek and half regular yogurt)
½ tsp vanilla extract (you can use vanilla paste, for the speckled effect)
⅔ cup of granola
1 recipe of cooled date caramel (see recipe below)
how-to-make: Slice the banana into ¼” thick coins and in a small bowl, stir together the yogurt and vanilla extract/paste. In 3 small, clean glasses or jars, layer the ingredients like this: 2 tsp granola, a few banana coins, 1 tsp date caramel, 2 tbsp of Greek yogurt. Repeat. Do this for all the jars/glasses. To finish, top with any remaining granola, banana and caramel.
For the date caramel: 6 small dates were pitted and chopped, then measured. Next, put 1/3 cup of pitted, chopped dates, 1/3 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into a blender, blend together until smooth. Pour into a saucepan and heat whilst stirring over a low flame for 5-10 minutes, until thickened and reduced down to ~1/3 of a cup in volume. Set aside to cool.

recipe 5
how-to-make: Blend bananas, black currants, blueberries, acai, and Greek-style yogurt, and serve in a bowl. Top with muesli, sliced bananas, chia seeds, berries, flaxseeds, coconut, and honey or bee pollen.

how to make homemade yogurt in 3 easy steps

FullSizeRenderThe EasiYo Yogurt maker is amazing {almost magical} – you really have to try it, and taste it, to believe how clever it is… and easy it is to use! Here’s how it works:
step 1: Half-fill your yogurt jar with room temperature, drinking water. Add the contents of a yogurt sachet, pop on the lid and give it a good shake. Fill the jar up with more water to about 5mm from the top… and shake again.
step 2: Push the plastic insert spacer down inside the Yogurt Maker as far as it can go. Pour boiling water into the Yogurt Maker to the top of the plastic insert spacer.
step 3: Put your jar into the Yogurt Maker so that it sits on top of the plastic insert. The boiling water will rise part-way up the sides of the jar. Put the Yogurt Maker lid on and leave it on your kitchen worktop for 8 to 12 hours (or overnight) to let the yogurt set… and the magic will happen!
three easiyo steps
After your yogurt has set: Remove your jar of freshly made yogurt from the Yogurt Maker and keep it in the fridge like normal. Your made-up EasiYo keeps fresh for about 2 weeks in the fridge.
