weekend diy: PAINTED TIN CAN VASES

perfect for yourself or for a cute little pressie – and the kids can help make them!

what you need:
clean cans
oil based white paint
matte water based craft paint in various colors
paintbrush
what you do:
Start by giving the cans a coat of oil based paint. This makes a good foundation so the other coat will not chip off.
Paint 2 or 3 coats with regular water based craft paint.
Allow to dry completely.
