Our magic stay at TreeTops Lodge & Estate in Rotorua

Our stay at TreeTops Lodge & Estate in Rotorua was completely amazing. Driving up the driveaway through the forest, it was like driving into another world. When we arrived at the main lodge, that was totally re-confirmed and I think we probably all stood there for about two minutes speechless, in disbelief that this was going to be our stay for the next two days.
Even though the lodge was SO luxurious, it was so welcoming, so friendly, so relaxing – and the staff, the most wonderful people {they really made the stay even more memorable!}. Our Valley View Villa was like something out of a movie, and so were the views from each room. A truly pinch-yourself place to stay… {I’ll post more about it in Hotel Hot-list, so stay tuned!}
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all prepared by Tree Tops chef {hello Harry} using organic and free range produce where possible, sourced locally and from their own Treetops vegetable garden and orchard.
While staying at Tree Tops you can completely chill out, or take advantage of their ‘probably on your bucket-list’ activities. We took a packed picnic lunch and walked through the forest to Bridal Veil Falls {the top pic}, which was absolutely breathtaking; the boys did archery and went on a horse riding trail; and hung out with Harry {the chef} while he prepared dinner. We also went all went on the four-wheel driving safari on the entire estate, which was a ‘total score’ with the boys. There’s so much {check out the kids activities} – or so little {hello Day Spa} – you can do…

We loved staying at TreeTops… the lodge,  the location, the food, the wine, the fresh air, the little details, the staff – it was really hard to say good-bye! {It’s definitely on our go-back-to list!}
