Say hello to the cutest suits around…

When we got asked to our friends black tie wedding, I didn’t realise how hard it would be to find cool suits for the boys to wear. That is until I find Three Fifteen – an Australian owned and operated company run by two mums who wanted to provide smart, fashionable and well-made suits for boys {3 to 15} for an affordable price. All their suits are made from good quality and hard wearing fabric that will last for more than one event and can be passed on and treasured by other family members. The jackets have padding in the shoulders, the pants are hemmed ready to wear and all their suits have signature blue detailing on the inside the jacket – they also come in a suit bag {very grown up}! They also have accessories too!

Mr 12 and Mr 9 {above} LOVED theirs – and OMG they got so many comments/compliments when they wore them to the wedding! {They even wore their hair in ‘muns’ – so so cute!}

We chatted to Niki {on the left, below} and Rachel {on the right, below}, the genius sister-in-laws behind Three Fifteen, and asked them the bellaMUMMA questions to find out a little more about how they tick…

Niki and Rachel with kids 1

You, in three words?
R: Mother, easygoing and loyal
N: Motivated, efficient and giving

What inspires you?
R: Definitely travel. My husband (Jarrad) and I, and now as a family, we are always planning and dreaming about our next destination. Our goal is to one day spend a year in Mexico.
N: Travel, food and people.

What’s your work title?
R: Owner and Marketing Manager
N: Owner and Sales Manager

What was your first ever job?
R: My first job was at Target.
N: Admin Assistant for a welding company.

What did you want to be ‘when you were little’?
R: I always wanted to be an artist when I was growing up.
N: I wanted to be an Air Hostess.

How did ‘315′ come about?
We actually bought the business off some friends of ours… initially we were looking at starting an online store focusing on baby clothing as both Niki and I had kids under 3 and it was something we were passionate about. However after speaking to a number of parents and conducting some market research of our own were came to the realization that it was really difficult to find smart looking boys suits at a reasonable price. So we purchased the business from our friends, moved it to Melbourne, redesigned the website and introduce a number of new products (and more products to come) that we love. Its worked out great as Niki’s little one is now wearing our suits and shirts, I have a baby boy due in August and he will definitely be a little model too. It also provides us with the ability to work from home and spend a lot of time with our kids.

Explain your usual day?
R: Every day is different with a 17 month old, but I try to be as consistent as possible. I’m usually up at the crack of dawn (not by choice..!) and we try to have breakfast as a family together every morning. Emilia (Emi) is the type of girl that can’t sit still, has to be stimulated 24/7 and is in constant need of my attention so I’m always trying to come up with ways to entertain her. One morning a week I’ll take her swimming and other mornings we’ll either go for a walk, take her up to see my mum, take her to see her cousin Noah, go to the park or meet up with friends to play. Then I usually make sure we’re home for Emi’s nap just after lunch. Nap time is precious to me. I can finally sit down! I make myself a cuppa, get out my computer and follow up on emails and requests, do some editing and updating on our website. After Emi’s nap it’s usually quiet play time until dinner then it’s bath then bedtime. When Emi goes to bed for the night it’s the time Jarrad and I get to spend together and catch up. Then by 9:30 I’m in bed.. this second pregnancy is exhausting!

N: After I drop Noah to Daycare/Kinder I normally log on to my computer and print off all the orders waiting to be filled. I then respond to any urgent emails. After I have packaged all the orders I then head to the gym for about an hour. This is my “Me Time”. Then before picking up Noah I head to the post office and drop off the orders. Once Noah is home we spend time doing activities and getting dinner organized. Then it’s the bath and bed time routine. After he is in bed I organise his bag and lunch for the next day, check my diary for what appointments we have then have a cup of tea and catch up on some reading or A TV series, I’m addicted to ‘Drop Dead Diva’ at the moment 🙂

What ‘makes your day’?
R: When my daughter Emi comes and gives me a random kiss or a hug.
N: Picking up Noah from Daycare/Kinder.

Who’s your fashion icon?
R: Alexa Chung. I just love her hair!
N: Reese Witherspoon.

How would you describe your style?
R: I don’t have a particular style.. but maybe I could call it eclectic. I wear old and new, vintage, Target, asos and even second hand clothes.. it really just depends!
N: Classic, cute and comfortable

Three products you can’t live without?
R: Rosehip oil, Mascara and CC cream
N: Mascara, Eye Cream & Senegence Climate Control

4 fave songs on your iPod?
R: I actually don’t have a lot of time to listen to my own music at the moment.. but the 4 most played songs on my phone currently are – Rock-a-bye your bear/ do the propeller/ giggle galaxy / go giggleosaurus .. not kidding! any mother of a toddler will be very familiar with those songs!
N: Such Great Heights by The Postal Service : Run by Snow Patrol: Disco 2000 by Pulp: and Blank Space by Taylor Swift.

Fave perfume?
R: Issey Miyake L’eau D’issey. I always get compliments whenever I wear it
N: Coco Chanel Mademoiselle

What will you be doing 5 years time?
R: I’m grateful that I can actually work from home, so I hope that we can still be doing what we are doing in five years time – and possibly living in Mexico with our kids 🙂
N: Running a successful business and doing a 3 month road trip of the USA.
