The trick is to lighten your hair two or three shades lighter than your natural colour – and then have highlights, in a shade lighter again, scattered around your face.
This creates a halo effect that can make you look younger by softening your face, lifting your skin tone and making your eyes appear bigger. My expert also advised to stay away from solid block colours, as they’re too severe. Instead ask your hairdresser for highlights and lowlights to create a shimmer and give your hair movement which will also flatter your complexion.
