Iconic underwear and loungewear brand Jockey have announced Australian actress and radio personality as the face, and body, of their brand.
And the photo shoot is stunning…

Kate, who you know is the co-host of the Kate, Tim & Marty drive show on Nova, say’s she’s excited to be joining the Jockey family. “As a busy, working mum I love that the Jockey range offers me all the wardrobe essentials that I rely on for day to day living, across lounge, sleep & underwear.”

“The brand is known for providing women with comfort and support, and the sophisticated, minimalist designs reflect my everyday go-to looks. The Weekender lounge wear is so soft to slip into, and the underwear makes me look good and feel good, because the fits are so flattering” Ritchie said.

The announcement of Ritchie as the new face of Jockey comes in line with the launch of their gorgeous SS17 Jockey Weekender range of loungewear. “The concept behind the Weekender range really reflects my lifestyle. My weekdays are full and busy and see me heading into the studio for our radio show each afternoon. I don’t think I’m alone when I say I look forward to the weekends so when they arrive I most enjoy spending time with my family and friends at home. Entertaining my daughter and catching up on life,” says Ritchie.

We asked Kate the bM questions to find out a little more how she juggles all her roles her busy life:

You, in three words? Working it out.

What inspires you? People, the world over, who work tirelessly for very little thanks or notoriety.

What did you want to be ‘when you were little’? I wanted to be Enid Blyton and write my very own version of The Magic Faraway Tree.

How did ’the Jockey partnership’ come about? I’ve always worn and been a fan of the brand. For me all of the planets aligned and the timing was just so right for me to do something in this space. Jockey got in touch and I was flattered and excited about the prospect of doing something out of my comfort zone. So far, it has been a lot of fun and the response, lovely.

Explain your usual day? Thanks to a wonderful gig doing drive time radio at Nova I am able to work from home most mornings although I have to admit that the notion of ‘working’ from home continues to be a work in progress! This means I am up early and planning our Kate, Tim & Marty show via email before the rest of the house surfaces. A couple of days a week I will do that planning from the treadmill at the gym. My favourite days are the ones where I can take Mae to swimming or soccer which are our activities of choice for now. I think dancing classes might be just around the corner! I have charity commitments, my ambassador roles and am continuing to write so my days are full until I head into the office mid-afternoon to be on air live 4-6pm with the boys.

What ‘makes your day’? When my two year old daughter surprises me with a new word or phrase, used perfectly, and with a whole lot of adult attitude.

Three things in your life you can’t live without? Mae. Regular Pilates. And the Jockey Jersey Slip in Parisienne Classic print. It’s supportive and flattering and the print feels a little flirty (and coming in closely at fourth position would have to be my credit card!)

4 fave songs on your iPod? This is forever changing but today I will list…
* The Man by THE KILLERS
* Rumor Has It ADELE
* Romeo and Juliet DIRE STRAITS
* Wasn’t It Good TINA ARENA classic covered by BEN ABRAHAM and AINSLIE WILLS

Fave place to escape to? If I could choose a place of escape right now, I’d say the Amalfi Coast! But in reality it is the Southern Highlands (south of Sydney) which is also pretty special.

How do you relax? One of my most favourite things to do is work in the garden. It’s relaxing in an exhausting and invigorating way. It simply rewards me, it is when I feel the most present AND it burns calories… Brilliant!
