Wholesome Child was created to provide informative and practical advice, support and inspiration to empower parents to make healthier food choices for their kids -and we are so happy that she’ll also be sharing it here with us…
Mandy also specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of fussy eaters. She runs a Fussy Eating Clinic at her practice in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, helping parents of children with mild to severe food issues with treatment plans and specialised strategies to alleviate familial stress and set children on the path to healthy, joy-filled eating practices.

Mandy’s career in children’s health spans more than a decade. In 2006, she, along with other paediatric experts, founded the MEND Programme – an independent, not-for-profit organisation established to research (and prevent) obesity in children. Mandy and her colleagues at MEND developed one of the world’s only proven weight-loss treatments for obese children, based on ten years of research and clinical trials.
She has appeared recently on Channel Ten’s Everyday Health and is currently writing her first book, The Wholesome Child Nutrition Guide and Recipe Book {watch below}…

Wholesome Child is part cookbook, part nutritional programme and part menu planner. But more than that it aims to demystify food and nutrition and addresses the “why” of feeding children right from the start. Why worry about gluten if your child is not celiac? Why is eating the same three vegetables over and over good, but not great? How much sugar is too much and what amount is healthy to eat? What is the difference between good fats and bad fats?
The book will be available in both digital and printed formats, and is packed full of quick and easy wholesome recipes specially formulated for fussy eaters and the entire family. It contains a fantastic nutrition plan which can be tailored to your family’s needs, and plenty of valuable, no-nonsense info about feeding your children right from the start and dealing with any issues that come up along the way.
