This rebooting your mind exercise is perfect to do at the start of a busy week to get your head in the right space to take on whatever you need to… then repeat as needed : )
What does that mean? In the mornings your mind is generally rested and empty. Thinking clearly is most often quite easy. It feels like a new and fresh start. But as the day passes the mind tends to fill up with events, thoughts and feelings. It becomes tired and thinking clearly becomes less easy.
So one habit that Henrik from The Positivity Blog suggests doing in the afternoon, to reboot your mind and empty it out from a lot of that mental clutter, is to take a quick meditation break.
Here’s how to do it:
Sit down in a comfy chair or couch, close my eyes and breathe through your nose. Make sure that you’re breathing with your belly and not your chest.
Then just relax your body for about 2 minutes and focus only on the air going in
After those 2 minutes, open your eyes. Your mind should feel clearer again,
usually like it does early in the mornings (or something at least close to that). You should feel
back in the present moment instead of lost in mental cobwebs.
This simply reboots and refreshes your mind and then the rest of the afternoon
goes smoother, with less stress, inner tensions and a sharper focus once again.
We highly recommend taking just 2 minutes out of your day to give this one a try.
