NEARLY EVERY WOMAN HAS A LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP
WITH THEIR FRINGE

It can frame your face, highlights your eyes, and can even make you look younger {seeya later, forehead fine lines} – but they’re not exactly low-maintenance, which is why you’re going to love these three tips:

1. Master the right {and left} blow-drying technique: Once you’ve got the proper brush and a powerful hair dryer (with the nozzle attached), hold your hair dryer over your head, facing down towards your forehead, and brush your fringe from side to side until dry. This takes care of any cowlicks and ensures your fringe will fall straight. Finish by rolling the ends under.

2. Invest in a tiny flat iron: To tame frizz and seal the shape, finish by smoothing your bangs with a flat iron. Start on one side of your face and take vertical sections all the way across. The best way to do this is with a slim flat iron that can get all the way up to the root,

3. When you can’t blow-dry, twist: When blow-drying isn’t an option, embrace your natural texture. Rather than trying to direct your fringe to fall straight, twist it. Split your fringe at your part, then twist outwards, pushing the twists to either side, and don’t touch them until your hair is dry. This prevents your fringe from drying in all different directions.
