HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR BEAUTIFUL CONTRIBUTOR
CLAIRE ARISTIDES & HER NEW BABY GIRL, CLEO, WHO WAS BORN ON THURSDAY THIS WEEK

{we’ll share photos of Cleo very soon} but until then… here are all the details and photos from Claire’s most exquisite baby shower, held a couple of weeks ago #perfectinspiration

The journey to Baby Aristides #2 has been a long one … so my first thoughts were do something very low key and not go to too much trouble… but once I started organising the lunch with my friend we had so much fun planning the day it really blossomed into a special occasion…. !

There’s quite a gap also between my first who is almost 6… so it does kind of feel like a first baby again but this time I am in the know of the sleepless nights ahead of us. The day was also a reminder of celebrating life and enjoying all you have around you.

It was the most beautiful day for me surrounded by a small group of friends and family. I felt extremely loved and knew that my little baby would be too. A dear friend I have known since I was a baby flew across from Hong Kong and my best friend and Mum flew down from Brisbane.

Here’s more about my special day, love Claire x x x

The Public Dining Room in Balmoral is one of my favourite restaurants. The entire process of organising the lunch with the team was so easy and seamless. We decided on the private room with one long table. The room leads out to a deck with an incredible view of Balmoral Beach, which is our local beach and where we often go as a family.

On beautiful deck looking out to Balmoral Beach, The Public Dining Room’s in-house florist decorated the space with a presentation table of my favourite white flowers in season, my favourite bubbles for the guests and Virgin Strawberry Mojito’s…

My colour theme was simple – white, gold and pink (yes I am having a girl!) I didn’t want the day to be fussy I wanted simple and classic.

The invites: I have used Wedding Paper Diva’s before through my brand events we have held, and have always had a really great experience. They are based in the States but ship worldwide. You can design any kind of invites or save the dates – everything is designed online and you can really tweak their templates so much to make it your own. We stuck with the colour scheme of pink, white and gold, and a timeless stripe.

Decorations: I almost didn’t have balloons but last minute we decided something was needed so we contacted The Bespokery. We briefed them on what we wanted and they decorated the room with an incredible garland of balloons in shades of white with gold tassels. When I saw what Heidi had created it just blew me away… so incredibly amazing.

Easel: Our graphic designer created this presentation board to sit on an easel, which was a really nice touch to formalise the event… and something I can keep as a reminder of our beautiful day.

Baby Games: We kept this simple, my dear friend organised for each guest to write a few words of wisdom’s on little cards which I can give to my little girl… a few tears were shed reading these!

Favours for the guests: Balmoral Candles created these cute little ‘Baby Balmoral’ peony scented candles for each guest. And on the table their signature candles as centre pieces.

Place cards: When I saw Glenda from @Written_By_Hand calligraphy place cards I was speechless (didn’t last long!) … so incredibly beautiful and talented.

The Cake: {the yummiest cake I have ever eaten} Bon Cakes made this delicious two tiered chocolate cake – we served the top as petite fours dessert on the day and I’ve frozen the bottom for when our little one arrives and we can have cake together to celebrate again…

what I wore

Dress: I originally had a white Roksanda dress for the day but in one week my tummy had grown so much my bump wouldn’t fit in it…. the day before I was in David Jones in a panic and got this gorgeous Dion Lee dress.

Shoes: I wore my favourite gold Valentino heels which was a good idea at the start of the day but by the end, my feet were aching!

Jewels: Mine! All my yellow gold favourites – Bangles and Gold Hoops by Aristides Fine Jewels

My husband and son popped down for the drinks on the deck and it was very special to capture some family pictures with them. My son is so excited for the new arrival and can’t wait to play trains and cars with her (let’s see how that goes…)
