making this little ‘wand’ adjustment with add instant length to your lashes

Superstar makeup artist Mally Rancal’s new book called Love, Lashes, and Lipstick is full of funny stories, industry advice, and—most important— insider makeup tips she uses on people like Beyonce and Taylor Swift. And this is just one that you need to know about…

Here’s Mally’s insider mascara tip:
“Pull the lashes—all of them—in toward the bridge of your nose. This is a top-secret technique: It fans the lashes open, giving your eyes a wide-eyed starburst effect. If you want a more sultry look, pull the lashes out toward your temples.”

In a nutshell, the direction you pull your lashes makes a difference in how your eyes look. Pull them in to make them look extra long and doll-like. Pull them out away from the inner corners to mimic the shape of a cat-eye.

Got it?
