wellbeing: the ‘Rediscover your Mojo’ two week challenge

the reclaim your mojo two week challenge

FEELING SLUGGISH? FEELING LACKLUSTRE? FEEL LIKE YOU NEED TO GET YOUR MOJO AND YOUR ENERGY BACK?

Read on, we have the inside info on how to get back on track, physically & emotionally…

Our day-to-day busy lives can start to take their toll on even the ‘most together’ person. Stress, rushing, quick meals and the need for more sleep can affect your digestive wellness and zap your mojo… After the last couple of weeks, this is so ringing true for me, which is why I’m embarking on the Metamucil Two Week Challenge…

REDISCOVER YOUR MOJO
part 1: the physical challengeVge 01 2014-1 (dragged) 5 (1)

As we get older we can start to feel sluggish and lack the energy we had when we were younger. Fibre can help. It’s vital for digestive health and it is recommended that Australian adults consume 25-30g per day.

Metamucil is a daily fibre supplement
– and as part of the challenge, I’m going to start with taking it once a day, then gradually increasing to three times a day {which is the recommended dose / done thing.}

ABOUT Metamucil – 3 things you may not know
Tropical-Fruit-Smoothie-1-size-3
1. It’s made with 100% natural psyllium which forms a gel to help cleanse your insides.
2. It helps you feel lighter and more active.
3. It’s easy to take with a glass of water, either in granular, smooth powder form or capsule form – and it tastes great.
{My fave is the orange flavour.}

part 2: the emotional challenge

Vge 01 2014-1 (dragged) 1I sat down with Wellness Coach, Fiona Cosgrove to chat through the second part of the challenge, how I can reclaim my vitality and achieve balance in my life. Here’s my plan we noted:

My Vision: I would like..
* more energy so that the day becomes more enjoyable
* to lose the feeling of sluggishness
* to have a better frame of mind as I will accomplish more – doing things I want as well as I things I have to do!
* to feel I am living in alignment with what I value

I would also like… a better balance of my time so that I get some time for myself in-between juggling responsibilities of work and parenting.

My broad areas for change:
* Nutrition
* How I allocate my time

My obstacles:
Multiple responsibilities around work and parenting

My three monthly goals:
In 3 months’ time I will be:
* Taking Metamucil regularly (if the experiment/challenge proves beneficial)
* Only drinking coffee when I can sit and drink it out of a glass/cup with looking at a screen of any kind
* Having a monthly massage
* Meeting a friend once a week for a social catch up

Next week I will:
* Have a coffee at the coffee shop on Tuesday and Thursday after dropping the boys off to school
* I will contact Claire to arrange a time where we can meet up
* I will talk to my husband and arrange a night out on Friday together.

My action Step:
To do this I have to arrange a babysitter

Okay, I have all my tools, here I go… STAY TUNED FOR MY WEEK ONE RESULTS!
