PREPPING YOUR SKIN FOR WINTER

NOW THAT THE WEATHER IS GETTING COOLER & WE START TO HEAD INTO WINTER

you need to add products to your skincare regime to protect your skin from the harsh elements…

If you’re using a normal, lightweight moisturiser, it’s time to upgrade to a more emollient one that contains glycerin, aloe, and vitamin E. {Glycerin and vitamin E help lock in moisture, and aloe helps to calm and soothe.} It’s also a good idea to complement your daily moisturiser with a serum or booster to penetrate and hydrate cells in the lower layer of the skin so that when they rise to the surface, they’re plump and healthy, and give your skin a glow.  We’re loving Olay’s Regenerist Miracle Duo.

Hydrating your skin from within is important too. Glow-getting ways to hydrate from within include: Upping your omega-3s content {you can get omega-3s from salmon, mackerel, tuna, nuts, and seeds}; eating more fruit {especially melons as they’re very high in water}; and drinking green tea {it’s loaded with antioxidants and protects the skin from UV stress}.
