“We were going to cut the fringe, but wanted to keep it sexy and feminine,” said Balcke.
The cut was a somewhat collaborative process, with Worthington’s stylist and friend Marina Afonina and make-up artist Victoria Baron giving their opinion. (Baron loved that the cropped sides would show off Lara’s cheekbones.)
Despite wanting a completely new look, Balcke says that there was a moment when Lara was sweating under the cape, and admits that he, “Had no idea what it was going to look like.”
The cut is most ideal for those with oval or diamond face shapes, but the real key is having the confidence to carry it off. “At this stage in her life, Lara is more confident than ever,” he said.
