sunday hair: THE LOW AND LOOSE UPDO
LOVING THIS VERSION OF THE LOW AND LOOSE UPDO
that not only uses a gorgeous headband as an accessory, but to help
hold the ‘do in place
what you need: Mousse, headband, curling iron, bobby pins, texturising spray and shine spray.
the how-to-do deets:
step 1. Work some mousse through your towel-dried hair, flip your head upside down, and blow-dry.
step 2. Part your hair in the middle and loosely wrap a few of the front pieces around your curling iron, remember to always turn the iron away from your face.
step 3. Position your headband just back from your hairline and around the back of your head, just above the nape of your neck. It should sit on your hair like a hat. Then push it up slightly to create volume at the crown.
step 4. Mist your hair with a texturising spray, then gather it into a low ponytail, and tuck it up and over into the headband at the nape, collecting it all together in the middle. Use bobby pins to create a round bun shape from the tucked hair and to add additional support.
step 5. Loosen a couple of pieces in the front and texturise a little with your fingers, then mist over the entire style with shine spray.
