need-to-know-about: the I TOUCH MYSELF PROJECT

DURING MY DAYS, I WORK IN MUSIC MANAGEMENT WITH MY HUBBIE

and we are fortunate enough to be representing the beyond amazing Katie Noonan.

When Katie became involved in Chrissy Amphlett’s I Touch Myself Project, I instantly knew I’d like to share this amazing campaign and message with bellaMUMMA readers.

We all remember Chrissy from Australian Rock legends The Divinyls. It’s almost one year since Chrissy lost her battle with breast cancer and it was her wish that her song ‘I Touch Myself ‘ become an anthem for women around the world, raising awareness and being sure her voice is heard loud and clear for a different reason -for breast cancer prevention.

Ten of Australia’s leading female artists – Katie Noonan, Olivia Newton John, Megan Washington, Sarah McLeod, Sarah Blasko, Suze DeMarchi (Baby Animals), Deborah Conway, Kate Ceberano, Little Patti and Connie Mitchell (Sneaky Sound System) have come together to help bring Chrissy’s wish to life, in a tender rendition of I Touch Myself.

The video is a stunning and incredibly moving tribute to Chrissy, but most importantly a reminder to head Chrissy’s advice ‘ for all women to be mindful of themselves when they heard the tune; to be good to themselves, inside and out.’
